Reconnect or disconnect

Reconnect restores authorized future reads. Disconnect stops them. Neither action silently rewrites governed history.

Reconnect#

Reauthentication may be required after provider consent is revoked, a credential expires, an administrator changes policy, or the authorizing account loses the selected source.

Use the connection's Reconnect action and complete authorization with an account that is permitted to access the intended scope. Sentium then reconciles the selected inventory. Existing provider identities and source versions are reused when they still match; unchanged files are not processed again.

If the scope itself changed, verify the new folder or repository selection before processing resumes.

Disconnect#

Disconnecting stops new provider reads immediately and prevents later synchronization. It does not delete the provider's files. It also does not silently erase Sentium snapshots already used for citations, approvals, or audit history.

Governed historical snapshots remain subject to tenant retention policy and authorized deletion procedures. Sources that are no longer eligible are excluded from current retrieval.

Review source permissions and security before reconnecting with a different account and the source data lifecycle before requesting deletion.
