Connect Google Drive

Connect by sharing is the current controlled Google Drive flow. Sentium provides each approved tenant with a dedicated intake identity. Share only the selected folder with that identity; never share source material with an individual Sentium employee.

Connect by sharing#

1. Confirm that the folder contains only material intended for the selected Sentium company or device scope.
2. In Google Drive, open Share for the folder.
3. Add the tenant-specific intake identity supplied inside your approved onboarding channel.
4. Grant Viewer access unless Sentium has documented a different requirement for your deployment.
5. Return to Sentium and confirm the folder selection, destination scope, and initial processing status.

Do not make the folder public or enable link-wide access. Do not grant Editor access. Sentium needs only the minimum read permission required to ingest the selected source.

OAuth direction#

OAuth connection is being prepared. The self-service OAuth connection is being prepared and will replace sharing as the primary path after production verification. That flow will let an authorized user approve Sentium through Google and select folders without sharing them to an intake identity.

Your Google Workspace administrator may need to approve the Sentium application before a self-service connection can proceed. Sentium will show that state directly rather than asking you to bypass organizational controls.
