Connect GitHub
Availability: Approved design partners.
The Sentium GitHub App provides organization-owned, repository-scoped access. Install it only in the organization that owns the source repositories and authorize only the repositories required for the intended Sentium scope.
Connect selected repositories
- A GitHub organization owner or permitted administrator starts the Sentium GitHub App installation.
- Choose Only select repositories.
- Select the minimum repositories required for the company or device scope.
- Complete installation, then confirm the repository inventory shown in Sentium.
- Map the connection to the appropriate company or device before processing begins.
Sentium uses read-only repository access for repository intelligence. The connection does not grant Sentium permission to push commits, merge pull requests, manage members, or change repository settings.
Verify and disconnect
After authorization, verify the organization name, installation status, and selected repository list. If the inventory is wrong, update the GitHub App installation rather than creating a second connection.
Disconnecting stops new reads. Governed source snapshots and historical citations remain subject to the source data lifecycle. See reconnect or disconnect before removing the installation.
